NEXT UPGeneral Run (Trawden)
Meet from 6.15pm to start training 6.30pm.
This is a very accessible and adaptable weekly training run that is open to senior runners of all abilities. Although everyone will follow the same general route outlined below, people may be split into two or three groups on the night - each with a qualified run leader - to run between four and eight miles.

Go down Harrison Drive turning left at the first roundabout then all the way along Birtwistle Avenue to the mini-roundabout. Turn right here and go straight across the next roundabout then crossroads and along Castle Road right to the end. At the T-junction turn right down Old Skipton Road around several bends as it starts to head downhill. Take a left along Bents Lane and continue down to the main road at the bottom opposite Christ Church. Cross over when safe turning right the left down Ball Grove Drive, following it to the car park and into Ball Grove Park. Turn right on the path along the top of the playground all the way to Winewall. Turn right before the bridge then left at the main road, staying on this all the way up through the centre of Trawden. Pass the Trawden Arms pub and at the crossroads up the hill turn right down the steep lane (Colne Road) up past the old Sun Inn pub. Follow this road all the way over the tops and eventually up Carry Lane back to Colne. Turn left along Keighley Road, through the town centre, and turn right down Spring Lane opposite the China Garden takeaway. Cross the main roads at the bottom to the left of the large roundabout and head back up to the pavilion.

Follow the Standard Route until you reach the main road at the bottom of Bents Lane. Turn right here after crossing over (don't go down the steps) to follow the main road back past the top of Heifer Lane and up Keighley Road to reach the top of Carry Lane. From here follow the Standard Route back through Colne town centre and Spring Lane.
May do hill reps on Carry Lane or loops of Colne town centre.
