Colne Lenches 5K

Second race in the inaugural TAC Winter Series. This race is being organised by Colne Town Council and is open to all runners. Free changing facilities will be provided at Pendle Leisure Centre.

ROUTE DETAILS
The race starts on Millennium Green and heads along the path towards Knotts Lane, turning right up Bridge Street then right again along Shaw Street. Turn right at Spring Gardens continuing on Green Road to Knotts Lane, then head back up Bridge Street and right on to Shaw Street once more.

This time go all the way along Shaw Street past the Admiral Lord Rodney, over the bridge and steeply up Lenches, turning right at the top opposite The Nook. After a short flat section there is a fast descent all the way down Knotts Lane.

Turn right near the bottom and go back along Green Road (in the opposite direction to before) and Spring Gardens. At the end go left back onto Shaw Street before turning left once more back into Millennium Green at the first entrance off Shaw Street.

Follow the path through the centre of Millennium Green, past where the race started, and continue towards towards Knotts Lane. Before reaching the road turn right and the finish is about 20 metres up a small path almost on Shaw Street.

HELP REQUIRED
If you are unable to run but still available on the day, your help would be appreciated in marshalling the race. People will be needed along the course and a team of at least four are required at the finish to take the positions and times.

Marshals will be briefed before the race starts so they are in position by 2pm, however as it is only a 5km race they should be finished and free to go not long after 2.30pm. The finish team needs to arrive by 2pm but will be finished well before 3pm.
