Todd Crag Juniors (U13)

These friendly routes from the park in Ambleside herald the start of Summer for many. The routes are of varying length dependent on age group, all with a brutal start, stretching out over Loughrigg Fell to varying degrees and ending with a breakneck descent back to the crowds at the finish in the park. There are always plenty of chocolatey prizes and with all the delights of Ambleside on offer this must surely be the best junior fell race on the calendar.

Registration opens at the Parish Centre, Ambleside at 11am. No earlier please, as the Centre is in use by church groups before this. The first race (U9) starts at 1pm, so you will have plenty of time. There will be hot soup, hot drinks, cakes and other refreshments available at the Parish Centre during the afternoon. Toilets are also available at the Parish Centre. All races start from Rothay Park, just a 2-minute walk from registration. Please find your own local parking – Ambleside has several large carparks. There is no parking at Rothay Park or the Parish Centre. Entry on the day only. Prizes for the first three boys & girls in each age category.
